Casper Municipal Court


Arraignment sessions occur Monday through Friday and start at 9:00 a.m.  If an interpreter is required for any proceeding, contact Municipal Court one week prior to your scheduled proceeding.

The Casper Municipal Court is on the Fifth Floor of the Hall of Justice located at North David and “A” Street, one block west of Center Street. City Hall is directly across the street at 200 N. David.

General Information

• Municipal Court has jurisdiction over City Ordinance violation cases filed by the City Attorney’s Office, Casper Police Department, Metro Animal Control, and Code Enforcement. All cases filed in Municipal Court are misdemeanors.

• City Parking Ticket violations are heard exclusively in Municipal Court.

• Tickets issued by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wyoming Game and Fish, or the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office are not heard in Casper Municipal Court. They are heard in the Circuit Court of the Seventh Judicial District which is located in the Townsend Justice Center at 115 N. Center Street.
