Youth Art & Pottery
We will help bring out your creative side and introduce you to drawing, painting with acrylics, working with clay and other media. All supplies furnished.
This course, for ages 11-13 interested in babysitting outside of the home, emphasized the physical safety and security of the child and teaches important needs such as friendship, understanding, and patience. Students receive a notebook with first aid information, resource guide, handouts, and make their own babysitting bag to use on their jobs. Students need to bring a sack lunch.
Kid's Craft Corner
Have six weeks of fun learning a variety of crafts including soap, lotion, bubble bath and candle making and also some Native American crafts.
Beginning Crochet & Knitting
Learn to crochet and knit an easy scarf or hat and stay warm in the Wyoming winds. Supply list available at registration.
Students will start with basic techniques of pencil drawing and will be introduced to new mediums such as colored pencil and charcoal. Supply list available before first class.
We welcome you to learn the art of ceramics from basic hand building sculptural and functional pottery to wheel thrown pottery and glazing. Most supplies furnished and FIRING IS FREE!
Kids Night Out
Leave the parents at home and come out for a fun night at the Recreation Center! Kids ages 5-11 will be active, have fun, and make friends in this safe, supervised program. Swim, play games, create crafts, enjoy pizza and drink for dinner, and have a great time! Don't forget your swimsuit and a towel.
Learn the ancient art form of decorating eggs using wax resist and dyes. Step-by-step instructions will be given to create a one-of-a-kind traditional Pysanka (decorated egg) for Easter. Bring a sack lunch or get it at the Ice Arena snack bar. All supplies furnished.
Watercolor & Mixed Media
We welcome you to the world of color! Learn essential painting techniques such as glazing, negative/positive, opaque vs. transparent, trick and solutions or experiment with new materials and ideas. Each class begins with a critique. Sign-up for both sessions at the same time and receive a 10% discount on both classes.
Zentangle (R) Basics
Zentangle is a drawing technique using simple repetitive strokes to create intricate images. For all levels of artistic experience, even if you are convinced you can't draw! Promotes active mindfulness, inspires self-confidence, and is fun and relaxing. Zentangle start-up kit included. For ages 15 and up.
Zentangle (R) Beyond Basics
For students that have taken the basic class. Learn more complicated designs and new images.
Crafts in a Pinch!
Love to do crafts but don't have a lot of time? These 2-week craft classes are for you. For ages 14 and over.
Native American Crafts
Learn the history of and make a Dream Catcher and Medicine Pouch using leather, sinew and beads.
Bubbles & Lotions
Learn how to make your own homemade lotions and bubble bath with a variety of ingredients, fragrances, and colors.
Soaps & Candles
Make your own homemade mold soaps and candles with colors and fragrance of choice.
GALS: Get A Life Society
This club is for women over the age of 40 who have some spare time and are looking for other people to do things with. Come and join us and help us plan monthly activities. Think of things you've always wanted to learn or try but didn't want to do by yourself (bike riding, mountain climbing, changing the oil in your car, learning ribbon embroidery?)
