Welcome to the wonderful world of dance! A variety of classes are offered for all ages and abilities to improve coordination, flexibility and self-confidence and promote a positive outlook of dance. Shoes and leotards can be ordered at the first two classes but must be paid for in advance.
Hop, skip, plie, and turn - your preschooler will learn ballet and dance basics while working on coordination and flexibility and having fun with creative movement. Ballet shoes, tights and leotard required.
Students will learn the basic foundations of ballet including positions, proper body form and classical technique. Class will include footwork, barre, center and movement across the room. Ballet shoes, tights and leotard required.
Students will learn the basic steps, rhythms, and counting steps while incorporating them into a routine. Tap shoes required.
If you love to make noise and move to the music, come join the clogging classes! Students ages 7 through adult will learn, perfect and have fun with this American folk dance emphasizing the downbeat of the music with enthusiastic footwork. Clogging taps available for $15.
Dance barefoot to ambient sounds, ethnic/cultural rhythms and new age music. Modern dance allows students to individually interpret freely while learning the art of natural movements. Prior dance experience is highly beneficial.
Mediterranean Dance Party
Stretch your muscles and have fun learning beledi, khaleeji and sha'abi - popular dances done in countries bordering the southeastern Mediterranean Seas. No experience necessary!
Improve your self-confidence and poise while learning basic techniques, posture and movements used in American Oriental dance. Wear comfortable close-fitting clothes (no jeans, no sweatshirts), bring a hip-scarf or shawl to tie around your hips, and come prepared to have FUN! Open to all regardless of body type, gender, or experience.
Think ballet is just for kids? Not so! This class is for YOU!. Enjoy movement, stretching and graceful dancing with other adults. No experience necessary.
Casper Ballroom Dance Club (CBDC)
Introducing the newest and most exciting activity for HIGH SCHOOL TEENS ONLY! This is a new ballroom performance group coached by a professional dance instructor with over 12 years teaching experience. Learn a hot salsa routine or thrilling swing dance with lifts and stunts! Absolutely NO dance experience required. Bring ALL of your friends when you sign up because NO ONE will want to miss out on this opportunity. Students will also receive an official CBDC t-shirt.
Students will be taught the basics in ballroom dance as well as learn professionally choreographed show routines. This is an open class but requires serious commitment to attend class each week.
Ballroom Dance for Youth
Have fun learning to dance the Swing, Cha-Cha, and Foxtrot! This class is designed for beginners. Students will make new friends, learn social manners and etiquette, and grow confidence in their new dance steps. These skills will be useful for an entire lifetime!
Ballroom Dance for Adults
Start with two left feet and grow into being a pro on the dance floor! This class is for beginning dancers taught in a progressive style with four weeks dedicated to each of the following: Waltz, Swing, Tango, and Salsa. Every student can master the steps in this amount of time. No partner needed! Singles will rotate partners during class time. Couples are also encouraged to sign-up and discover the romantic benefits of learning to dance together.
Learn the Country Two-Step and Country Swing! These are fun partner dances that anyone can learn! After taking these popular classes, you'll be ready to go out and dance the night away! Both singles and couples are welcome to come and have a great time.
