METRO ANIMAL CONTROL AND WELFARE
APPLICATION FOR ADOPTION
All pets adopted from Metro MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED within thirty (30) days for animals over six (6) months of age, and as specified for puppies and kittens. Failure to have the animal spayed or neutered may result in the animal being reclaimed by Metro Animal Control and Welfare. Proof that the animal was spayed/neutered must be presented to Metro Animal Control and Welfare within 30 days of the animal being spayed/neutered.
Adoption fees are: CATS-$35.00 DOGS-$50.00 Fees include: first set of shots, a free examination at participating local veterinarians, a microchip, license, ID tag, cat carrier, and a collar/leash.
IMPORTANT: If your application is denied, you have the right to appeal, in writing, to the Metro Animal Control and Welfare Manager within three (3) days of the date of denial. Metro Animal Control and Welfare is under no obligation to hold the animal you are interested in during the appeal process.
APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE APPROVED UNTIL YOU ARE IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH EXISTING CITY, COUNTY AND STATE STATUTES, TO INCLUDE LICENSING OF ALL ANIMALS.
ANIMAL ADOPTIONS ARE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS TO APPROVED APPLICANTS ONLY, WHO ARE FIRST ON THE PREMISES.
APPROVAL OF YOUR APPLICATION IN NO WAY OBLIGATES METRO ANIMAL CONTROL AND WELFARE TO HOLD ANY ANIMAL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN.
