Municipal Golf Course Limited Opening

The Casper Municipal Golf Course held a limited opening on Monday, March 1st, 2010, with temporary green play and practice on the driving range (weather permitting).  Temporary greens fees will be $5.00/person, and normal golf cart rental fees will be $16.00 for 9 Holes and $28 for 18 holes.

Remember to pick up your new season passes at the Casper Recreation Center! 

  
 


Police Department Logs 77 Arrests for Burglary
Since July 1, 2009, the Casper Police Department has made 77 arrests for burglary within the City of Casper.  This accomplishment should have a major impact on the number of future burglaries in the Casper area, since one criminal is often responsible for multiple burglaries. 

Burglaries generally happen very late at night or on weekends when no one is around.  The Police Department would like to remind citizens that one of the simplest and most effective burglary deterrents is to make sure that the doors to vehicles, homes, and businesses are locked.    		  
 

Six Mayors Launch the One Cent Civic Engagement Process
The mayors of Casper, Mills, Evansville, Bar Nunn, Edgerton, and Midwest were joined by the Chairman of the Natrona County Commission on February 1st to formally launch the civic engagement process for the One Cent Sales Tax. 

The civic engagement process is looking for input from everyone in Natrona County regarding how One Cent funding should be used for the next four years.   With paper surveys being delivered throughout the county, electronic surveys available on the new One Cent Process website, and input being tallied from the dozens of public meetings being scheduled, the civic engagement process promises to be the most robust public input process that has ever been attempted in Natrona County.
