Casper Historic Preservation Plan Survey Available

Posted on 09/21/2018

The City of Casper is in partnership with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the National Park Service (NPS) in the preservation of the city’s historic and prehistoric buildings and sites. Among the duties of a CLG is to maintain a Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) and to develop a plan for the identification, documentation, and preservation of historic resources. Funded primarily by a Historic Preservation Fund Grant from the Wyoming SHPO, this primary goal of this survey is to complete a citywide preservation plan that establishes goals and priorities for the Casper HPC, the city’s heritage preservation community, and the general public over the coming years. As part of this process we are seeking your public input to help us:

  • Better understand Casper’s current heritage preservation status and future interests,
  • Better understand the needs/desires of city residents regarding preservation issues, and
  • Establish priorities and goals for the Casper HPC, the city’s heritage preservation community, and the general public to focus on in the coming years.

This survey consists of 12 questions and should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.

Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to complete our public participation survey. Your valuable input will be used to create and plan our future objectives toward historic preservation issues in Casper. Please feel free to forward this survey and share throughout your community. We will be accepting responses to the survey from now until February 28, 2019. Please follow the link below to access the survey:
