Parks and Playgrounds are open
Parks, trails and open spaces can continue to be used in a safe manner that allows people to enjoy the mental and physical health benefits these spaces provide. We encourage all users to follow these recommendations:
- Refrain from using parks or trails if you are exhibiting symptoms.
- Follow CDC’s guidance on personal hygiene prior to and during use of parks or trails.
- The Parks Department is not sanitizing playground equipment or tables. Sanitize picnic surfaces before and after use. Use hand sanitizer before and after using playgrounds. Stay 6 feet from other playground users.
- Prepare for limited access to public restrooms or water fountains.
- While on trails, warn other users of your presence and as you pass, and step aside to let others pass.
- Follow CDC guidance, keep group size small and only walk with those in your household-- this includes outdoor picnicking, pick-up sports, playgrounds and other group hangouts, and maintain proper physical distance at all times.
- Observe CDC’s minimum recommended social distancing of 6 feet from other individuals
- The City strongly encourages individuals to wear face covering and/or adhere to social distancing guidelines as recommended by state and local health officials. Face coverings are not required in parks.
- The City of Casper is not responsible for any illness that develops during or after the use of our facilities.
