The Casper Ice Arena is home ice for hundreds of youth hockey players that live in and around the Central Region of Wyoming.  The Casper Ice Arena will be offering several Stick ‘n Puck sessions, Learn-to-Play Hockey programs, Family Hockey programs, and are supportive of our local hockey clubs.

Learn-to-Play Hockey

Learn-To-Play Hockey is designed to introduce kids to the sport of ice hockey. Practices include a range of skating, puck handling, and team play activities. 
Full hockey equipment and the ability to ice skate forward is required

Mile High Mites

The Casper Skating School has partnered with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche to introduce youth athletes to the sport of ice hockey. The Mile High Mites Learn-to-Play Hockey program will meet each Saturday morning during the Fall. Participants receive a full set of CCM youth hockey gear and six weeks of one-hour sessions at the Casper Ice Arena.  

We highly encourage CSS Learn-To-Skate classes and/or practicing forward skating at Public Skate to prepare for the Mile High Mite program.
