The Recreation Center has expanded service offerings in accordance with changes to state health guidelines. The expansion of services includes reopening the weight room, locker rooms with steam rooms, and implementation of specified hours for drop-in pickleball, basketball, table tennis, and volleyball.

The gym schedule is listed below. Please remember there are occasional special events or private rentals, but those are posted at least 7 days in advance.

The Casper Recreation Center has something for all residents and visitors, at a fantastic price!

The facility serves as a site for a wide variety of programs and drop-in activities, in addition to being the focal point of recreation services in the community. The Recreation Center features a gymnasium for basketball and volleyball, weight room, cardio fitness room, locker rooms, game room, and several multi-purpose rooms and meeting areas.  Classes in dance, sports, martial arts, arts and crafts, specialty interests, and more are offered at convenient times for all ages!

Pottery Painting Parties

Get creative with a Pottery Painting Party at the Casper Recreation Center! Participants select a pre-fired bisque item and paint their piece as they wish. Parties include bisque pieces, painting supplies, craft instructor (for the first hour of the party) and use of a craft room for two hours. Paint...then party! Pottery will be fired after the party and may be picked-up by participants at a later date. Price is $110 for up to 8 painters and $10 for each additional painter. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance by contacting the Administrative office at 235-8403.


FUNSHINENo place to go on a rainy, snowy or windy day? The newly renovated Funshine Corner offers children a safe and warm indoor play area. The park is open during normal operating hours and is available for private rental. Membership or daily admission fees apply. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Private rental rate is 25/hr.  


Play pool, watch TV, or just relax in the Lounge. Vending and drink machines are available to grab a snack and cool off while you chill out. Casper Recreation Center Pass or Daily Admission required. Must be 8 years old or older to play pool.

Drop-In Sports

Join others and play the sports and games you love! Admission is a Recreation Center Pass or $5.00 Daily Use Fee.


Pickleball is a game played on a badminton-sized court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the
center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. Pickleball is easy to learn and will quickly grow into a fast-paced, competitive and fun game! Drop-in Pickleball will be held Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. There are also outdoor pickleball courts at Huber Park by 5th Street and Payne.

Table Tennis

Drop-in table tennis in the Activity Room. Bring your paddle or borrow one of ours!  Drop-in table tennis will be held Wednesdays from 9:00-11:00 am and Sundays from 1:30-3:30 pm.


Nets are set up for drop-in volleyball each weekend: Saturdays, 3:00-6:00 pm and Sundays, 3:00-5:00 pm. Volleyballs are available for check-out from the Front Desk.


Stop by the Recreation Center for pick-up hoops! Basketballs are available for check-out from the Front Desk. Drop-in basketball hours are Monday-Friday from 11:30 am-1:30 pm and all other times the gym is not in use.
