Long Range Transportation Plan
The MPO, in cooperation with the State, is responsible for developing and updating an MPO Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). Updates are required every five years. The LRTP will include both long-range and short-range strategies/actions that lead to the development of an integrated multimodal transportation system to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of people and goods in
addressing current and future transportation demands. The LRTP will also update the Casper Area MPO Travel Demand Model.

Safe Routes to School Plan Update
The Safe Routes to School Plan will provide the Cities of Casper and Mills, the Towns of Bar Nunn and Evansville, the Natrona County School District, and participating private schools information on making it safer to get to-and-from schools within the MPO boundary and encourage more students and faculty to walk, bike, and roll to get there.

The MPO, in coordination with the City of Mills, City of Casper, Natrona County, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation, are conducting a study of Robertson Road from Poison Spider Road to CY Avenue (Highway 220). The Robertson Corridor Study will develop a long-range plan for the corridor by looking at the latest trends in transportation safety, traffic flow, multi-modal facilities, and structural enhancements. The study will also examine how future development will impact the corridor and make recommendations based on current and future needs.
