OPERATION HOURS
Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. except legal holidays. Service area includes Casper, Evansville, Mills, Bar Nunn.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES
ASSIST does not provide service on the following holidays:
- Monday January 1st, 2024, New Year's Day
- Monday May 29th, 2023, Memorial Day
- Tuesday July 4th, 2023, Independence Day
- Monday September 4th, 2023, Labor Day
- Thursday November 23rd, 2023, Thanksgiving Day
- Monday December 25th, 2023, Christmas Day
HOW TO REGISTER
All passengers must register before riding ASSIST. Please complete one of the three ways to register below.
- Registration online by clicking here.
- Come into Casper Area Transit located at 1715 East 4th Street.
- To register, call the day before no later than 3:00PM to schedule a free register trip the next day.
RESERVATIONS FOR SERVICE
Reservations for service are accepted by calling (307) 235-8273. We encourage booking rides at least one week in advance. Rides are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
Same day service is not provided. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.
ONE-WAY FARES
Children 12 and under* $1.00
Seniors, Disabled, Medicare $2.00
General Public $5.00
*Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult traveling to the same destination.
ASSIST encourages the use of trip tickets that can be purchased at the Casper Area Transit office at 1715 East 4th Street, WY 82601. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
DRIVERS DO NOT CARRY CHANGE
Please have exact fare, or a ticket ready when boarding. All fares are one-way. When a passenger requires an attendant to accompany them while traveling on Casper Area Transit, the attendant will not be charged. The attendant must be traveling to the same destination at all times. The attendant must provide assistance to the passenger as needed.
ACCESSIBILITY
TTY-based TRS users can call 7-1-1. All vehicles are lift equipped and accessible.
ON TIME PERFORMANCE
Due to the very specialized door-to-door service ASSIST provides, the drive is considered on time if the bus arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time. It is the passenger's responsibility to be ready to board when the bus arrives. The driver will wait 3 minutes and then depart for the next scheduled passenger.
CANCELLATIONS
Passengers are required to call and cancel their trip a minimum of one hour in advance.
Failure to do so may result in a no-show. Three or more no shows will result in the suspension of service.
