OPERATION HOURS

Monday- Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday's 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Purple (Mills) and Orange (Evansville)’s last run is 5:00 to 6:00pm except on Saturdays. Times listed on map and schedules are departure times when the bus leaves the stop. Please be at pickup point five minutes before scheduled departure time. Click here for the fixed route service map. Drivers do not carry change.

HOLIDAY CLOSURES

Casper Area LINK does not provide service on the following holidays:

  • Monday January 1st, 2024, New Year's Day
  • Monday May 29th, 2023, Memorial Day
  • Tuesday July 4th, 2023, Independence Day
  • Monday September 4th, 2023, Labor Day
  • Thursday November 23rd, 2023, Thanksgiving Day
  • Monday December 25th, 2023, Christmas Day


FARE RATES

ONE-WAY FARES (effective March 1, 2023)

General Public Adults (age 18-61) $1.00

Seniors (62+), Disabled $0.50                     

Students (age 6-17 or with valid school ID) $0.75

Children Under 6 years* Free

*Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult traveling to the same destination.

MONTHLY PASSES

Unlimited rides by a single person in a month can be purchased at the Casper Area Transit Office or by US mail to Casper Area Transit 1715 East 4th Street Casper WY 82601

General Public (age 18-61) $30.00

Seniors (62+), Disabled $15.00                  

Students (age 6-17 or with valid school ID) $25.00

Children under 6 years*    Free

*Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult traveling to the same destination.

Tokens will not be accepted in combination for any route deviation fare.

Deviations must be paid with exact change and are CASH ONLY. Drivers do not carry change.

Deviations must be arranged with the Dispatch Office at (307) 235-8287 at least 1-2 hours in advance. Deviations can be rejected at any time at the dispatch office or driver’s discretion, depending on weather conditions and traffic patterns. Rejections are rare and generally occur due to time constraints, weather conditions, construction delays, or excessive distance from route.

GENERAL RIDER DIRECTIONS

  1. Get a schedule. Copies are available on board the buses, the Casper Area Transit Center located at 1715 East 4th Street, City Hall, the Senior Center or here for a PDF version.
  2. Choose your route. Check the schedule to find your stop.
  3. Wait at the stop 5 minutes before departure.
  4. Wait for other passengers to exit prior to boarding the bus. Make sure you’re getting on the correct route. If you are unsure about the route or need further assistance, ask the driver to lower the wheelchair lift for you.
  5. Pay your fare. Drivers do not carry change, so you must have the exact fare when you board the bus.
  6. Enjoy the ride!
  7. Get off the bus. Pull the signal cord when available, or inform the driver at least one block prior to your stop. Stay seated until the bus comes to a complete stop and be sure to take your belongings with you. Don’t cross the street in front of the bus; wait for it to leave the stop.

TRANSFERS

Free from one bus to another and must be used immediately. Transfer tokens are good only at designated transfer points such as the Eastside Wal-Mart (Blue and Orange) or Westside Wal-Mart (Purple and Yellow), Beech Street Transfer Plaza (Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue), or Kit Carson (Purple and Green). Abuse of Transfer Tokens is not only dishonest but can be considered theft of services. Repeated abuse will result in your suspension from ridership and / or prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Transfers can be combined with route deviations; please indicate intentions to transfer at the time of original boarding.

TDD/TDY users call (307) 235-8287. All vehicles are lift equipped and accessible.


SERVICE ANIMALS

Companion animals are welcome in a pet carrier, or on a leash under the condition the animal is under the passenger’s control. Cats must be in a pet carrier.
